In Dakar, Senegal, a new home for "La Casa di Ibrahima" onlus

An African proverb says "If you want to go fast, walk alone. If you want to go far, walk with others ". As usual, SICREA Group, on the occasion of Christmas, chooses to allocate a sum to help those in need concretely.

This year the choice fell on the association The House of Ibrahima onlus that operates in Dakar, Senegal, since 2003. It is an association that works in the extreme suburbs of the Senegalese capital, to support children at risk of social marginalization. The work of the volunteers focuses on protecting the lives of the Talibé children, the students of the Koranic schools, who very often live in a state of extreme social hardship and are forced to beg.

The House of Ibrahima intervenes in favor of these street children with food aid, medical-health care and hospital, recreational leisure activities, literacy courses. From the end of 2013 to the present, thanks to the partnership signed with the municipality of Keur Massar, the activities of the association took place in the municipal multipurpose center where there are also other local associations. Over time it was necessary to acquire new spaces to accommodate the boys and offer better activities, hence the project to build the new headquarters on a municipal land donated by the mayor of Keur Massar.

It will be SICREA Dakar to realize the new Multipurpose Center of "La Casa di Ibrahima". Pierpaolo Patroncini, President of SICREA Dakar, says: "We are proud to collaborate in the realization of this important project. Once again we can say Together, to build the future ".
